The scene describes the two soldiers last attempt to convince, almost threatening, Ursino to abandon the Christian faith and worship an idol flaunted by a priest. The slain lamb, down between the martyr and the brazier, and the attendant, on the right, engaged in feeding the brazier's sacred fire, highlight the pagan context of the scene. On the left, some Roman soldiers hold up their banners.
In the background, the agitated crowd and threatening skies enhance the dramatic action.
The work of Gregorio Lazzarini is located on the sacristy's left wall.
