Paul Savelli was a Prince Roman commander of the Venetian troops who died in Padua in 1405.
The equestrian monument standing above the urn where he is buried, appears to be the first of its kind made in Venice.
The urn is attributable to both the Dalle Masegne School and to Rinaldino of France.
